The P, B, D, and C letters stand for Plot (or On), Bold, Dim, and Color respectively. Except for Color, each of these letters has a radio button below it for each available survey section. The plot status (or line-type) for each survey section is indicated by which of these radio buttons is selected. If none of the associated radio buttons are selected, the survey section has a status of “Off” and will not be plotted on lineplots, or included in survey totals listed on lineplots. To change the plot status for a given survey section, simply select the radio button corresponding to the survey section (row) and plot status (column) desired. Below the letter “C”, and next to the Section Name edit fields, is a column of colored (or black) boxes. These boxes indicate the current plotting color for each survey section.
Section Colors
Changing the plotting color for a survey section is simple, just click the mouse on the color box corresponding to the survey section in question. Clicking on the color box will bring up a small pop-up color menu, allowing the color to be changed.
Set #1, 2, 3
These buttons allow the Section Editor to move between the 3 different sets of sections.
All Plot, Bold, Dim, Off, Color
The All Plot, All Bold, All Dim, and All Off buttons are used to rapidly change the status of all the sections. Pressing the “All Plot” button causes all sections (with survey footage) to be assigned a plot status of “Plot”. Sections with no survey footage are turned “Off”. The other buttons all work the same way. All Color changes all the sections to the last selected color. These buttons are very helpful, because you can push the “All Off” button to turn everything OFF, then select “Plot” for a single section. Conversely, you can turn the rest of the survey back ON using the “All Plot” button, when you want the rest of the survey to plot again.
Set Default Colors
The Set Default Colors Button assigns each section a color, cycling through all of the available colors, except for the color currently selected as background for lineplots.
